The children and teachers from the fifth grade at Eatonville SD Elementary Schools came to Starry Hill for
Astronomy Camp. Using the Starry Hill Tours Spaceship, we travelled throughout the
solar system and universe to learn the structure of our universe, to learn how gravity works, and to learn
the
motions of earth and sun.
We spent time in the Observatory learning about telescopes and how to take astrophotos and then spent
more
time actually developing skills in using telescopes.
At the end of our time together, we challenged all the kids to a Space Race contest and the kids won an
evening
Starry Hill Star Party in August.
