2016 Star Guides Lineup  (2016-8-02) ⬅︎
Not only is Starry Hill a place for kids to come to connect with our universe, it is also a place that, as much as possible, is run by kids. That's why we have the Star Guides program, now in its fifth year.

For the 2016 stargazing season, we have five great Star Guides. From left to right, they are John (3 years), Brett (2 years), Gwen (2 years), Braden (5 years) and Vanessa (1 year). These five Guides handle a great variety of tasks... they set up and maintain equipment, make presentations on telescope use, teach groups how to navigate the night sky, assist guests as needed in finding targets and even lead people in doing astrophotography. Several also help with our outreach at Mt Rainier National Park as part of the NPS Night Skies Program. They have collectively given over 500 hours of their time. Wow!

Thanks 2016 Star Guides!
